Michael Stockler's Computer Consultant Bio

Michael Stockler’s specialty as a software consultant involves the integral use of shortcuts, both for keyboard and in overall computer processes.  As a specialized trainer, he has a thorough understanding of a variety of software, but has a longstanding relationship with the MS Office package – he first learned MS Word for DOS in 1989, and MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint for Windows 3.0 in 1991.  As a word processor and trouble-shooter, he learned to complete editing and formatting operations with the utmost speed and precision.  In fact, speed became his specialty.

Michael found he had the intuitive skill of effectively communicating work methods to others, who were clearly grateful for the incredibly useful time-saving knowledge.  He soon began providing customized training to corporate clients in such diverse industries as law, investment banking and advertising.  While his background includes commodities and stock trading, music, theatre and music therapy, he eventually found himself teaching MS Excel to Fortune 500 law firms, culminating with Sullivan & Cromwell sending Michael to train their New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris offices in Excel as part of Sullivan’s conversion to MS Windows during 1997-98.

Michael’s private clients have included theatrical attorneys, literary agents, publicity agents, producers and casting directors, Itzhak Perlman and his staff and family, and the Perlman Music Program.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree with high honors from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s degree from New York University.  He resides in New York City.
